It seems that we Canadians have become so addicted to our mobile phones, we're losing some manners. According to a new Future Shop survey conductd by Leger Marketing, 74% of Canadians simply cannot part with their smartphones, bringing it into bizarre and inappropriate places such as bathrooms (17%), places of worship (11%), and job interviews (9%).
On top of that, half of Canadians have a habit of texting in the middle of a real-life conversation. And Canadians still can't keep off their phones in the car either, despite studies suggesting that it as dangerous as drunk driving: 35% of Albertans and 25% of Ontarians use their mobile phones while driving.
Mobile phones are convenient and practical. But is there such a thing as going too far?
